Description of the Course

Quality Education for all learners according to UNESCO-IBE defined as an implication of “a balance between excellence and equity. This means that it is not possible to talk about quality education if just a few students learn what is required to participate in society and develop their life projects … Ensuring that all students can learn reaching levels of excellence requires adapting teaching practices and pedagogical support to the needs and characteristics of every student. Special Education or Special Education Needs is the education of students with special need in a way that addresses the students’ individual differences and needs. This short course focuses on teaching and managing students with learning disabilities. More specifically, it concentrates on differentiated teaching, on the necessary steps for designing a fair and inclusive education system, on the characteristics and benefits of an inclusive learning classroom and on mastering the art of teaching for different models of disability.
